This year the City of Perth invited FOMEX to participate in its Carnival Macabre with Mexican Day of the Dead. A very enthusiastic group of volunteers worked very hard to portray this Mexican tradition in all its splendor. This is the list of activities organised by FOMEX:
- Display of Altar for the Dead for one week.
- Catrinas exhibition (part of the Altar).
- Bread of the Dead and hot chocolate for people visiting the Altar.
- DoD posters exhibition.
- Skull decoration workshop for children.
- Mexican folkloric dances by Ixtzul. Two performances.
- Big format paintings to decorate Northbridge Piazza.
- Authentic Mexican food stall.
- Mexican crafts stall.
- Radio and television interviews explaining DoD.
